Dietze+Schell develops and produces fully and semi-automatic winding systems for rewinding carbon fibres. They frequently apply finishing processes such as texturing and fluffing. Carbon fibres are electrically conductive and can cause short circuits. Therefore, electrical and electronic components of the systems need special protection.
Our machines can combine carbon fibres and plastic fibres and blend them into a homogeneous material. Carbon fibres are often embedded in synthetic resin. This results in pre-impregnated mats ("prepreg"). Dietze+Schell supplies the matching machines for further processing (unrolling, slitting, winding). This material is used, in particular, for lightweight construction in the aerospace industry.
